Performance and Drivetrains
The Lincoln Aviator has one engine, a turbocharged V6 rated at 400 horsepower. That's quite high for this size of SUV, and it means the Aviator has real power behind it. You will feel that power when you are going up hills or speeding up to pass other highway vehicles. The hybrid version with an electric motor supporting the engine is significantly more powerful-- the drivetrain reaches 494 horsepower. It's a nice reward for opting for a more environmentally friendly option. The Aviator can do over six thousand pounds of towing with its power. The handling is also good. While it isn't sporty, the Aviator is smooth and graceful in any road conditions, and you won't really feel bumps and holes in the roads around Boulder because the ride is cushioned.
Trim Levels
There are five trims to choose from with the Lincoln Aviator. The base trim is called the Lincoln Aviator Standard. It has a long list of automated safety and driver assistance features, a Wi-Fi hotspot, four USB ports, smartphone connectivity, satellite radio, and more tech, all controlled by a touchscreen that is over ten inches across.
However, the next trim, the Lincoln Aviator Reserve, adds even more. It adds a sound system upgrade, captain's chairs for the second row, onboard navigation, a surround camera system to help you park, and leather upholstery throughout the interior. The Lincoln Aviator Reserve is a great spot for most buyers in Thornton. There's quite a few options and packages too if you want to add more.
The third trim, the Lincoln Aviator Grand Touring, is notable because it is the first one that has the hybrid drivetrain available. It also gets a sunroof, another upgraded sound system, massaging front chairs, and a few other elements that the Lincoln Aviator Reserve does not have.
The Lincoln Aviator Black Label, the fourth trim, has all the previous options and packages combined, plus some exclusive styling and design changes. This is the fully decked-out trim. Lastly, the Lincoln Aviator Black Label Grand Touring is the Black Label but with the hybrid drivetrain.
